I was out walking one day when I saw a tiny bird, its leg caught in a twisted piece of wire. It was struggling, and a wave of empathy washed over me. I knew I had to do something.
Carefully, I knelt down and reached for the bird. I used my fingers to gently untangle the wire from its delicate leg. As soon as it was free, I opened my hand, and the little creature fluttered away without a second glance. The sight of it flying off, unburdened, was all the reward I needed.
This simple act was a profound reminder of how to help others. Give help when it's needed, without hesitation or judgment. And when you are done, release the person to their own path, free from any sense of obligation. True generosity is its own reward; it’s never about getting something in return.
